PROJECT: Falcon Eyes. Keystage 3
Here is what you have to do!
Attach a mini-camera (wireless with internet support) to a remote-control helicopter. Connect the camera to transmit signal from your Wireless-ADSL to your Laptop computer.
Finally, once you are ready, you will fly the helicopter in the field (school-campus), close to the access points where you could get a clear signal.
Note: If you do not have wireless adsl access points installed at the campus then use the radio frequency of the wireless mini-camera to transmit signal from the camera to Laptop/computer.
Ask the children to do some brain storming to enhance the project, i.e;
Transmit the visual signal from the flying object to the computer in the I.T lab and then share it with other computers at the IT lab/school.

Accomplishment:
You should be able to get a visual thru the mini-camera as the chopper flies at the campus. You should also be able to record / capture these visual images directly from the mini-cam to your Laptop computer.
Conclusion:
The whole idea is to take the students out of the traditional class room and to show them that how I.T works in the real world and how the technology could change a simple toy into a High-Tech device!
During the project, they will understand the importance of I.T and the role it could play in the daily life, but more importantly, they will also witness that how I.T has expanded beyond the walls of the classroom.
